The selection of shorts of Annecy International Animation Film Festival came out. The oldest animation film festival in the world chose 178 films for the competition (Short Films, Graduation Films, Music Video, Advertising Films, Educational / Scientific / Industrial Films, TV Series and TV Specials) and 35 films out of competition.
Among the 43 films selected for Short Films Competition, at least four of them were in Anima Mundi 2010: The Lost and Found Box of Human Sensation (Germany) by Martin Wallner and Stefan Leuchtenberg, Schlaf (Switzerland) by Claudius Gentinetta and Frank Braun, Something Left, Something Taken (USA) by Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata and Zbigniew's Cupboard (Poland / Great Britain) by Anna Magdalena Osinska. Between the 60 films in Graduation Films Competition, one also were in Anima Mundi last year: Serenade (South Korea) by Lee Han Bit.
But our greatest happiness is in the Out of Competition selection. Between the 35 films selected, three were at the Anima Mundi 2010, and one of them is Brazilian! They are: Babioles (France) by Matthieu Auvray (Matray), Muzorama (France) by Elsa Brehin, Raphaël Calamote, Mauro Carraro, Maxime Cazaux,Davaud Emilien, Laurent Monneron and Axel Tillement, and our Storm (Brazil) by Cesar Cabral. And as a joy never comes alone, another Brazilian also participates in this section: Timing (Brazil) by Amir Admoni.
Feature films selection will be released in March 15th.
